Dr. Nellie L. Kangwa​ is the 2023 recipient of the United Nations Global Leader Achievement Award and was inaugurated in the United Nation Global Women Foundation, Hall of Fame in March 2023 at the United Nations Headerquarters New York for her life long commitment to mentoring and coaching women to become captains of industry. She was appointed as the UN Special Envoy Ambassador in 2022, to highlight and select a team of women, men and youth who championshining the agenda for Women Leadership and Empowerment.
